MY KITCHEN MY WORLD - Going to Italy this month

After visiting Italy last summer, I decided I wanted to learn to cook real Italian food. Not just spaghetti from a jar as most of us do here in the states. I have made this spaghetti sauce three times now and it never fails so I am posting it for the MKMW post this month.  This recipe came from the La Cucina Italiana Magazine and is a delicious bolognese sauce. It is not a difficult recipe - just takes a long while to simmer, but believe me it is worth it in the end.  I made it exactly as the recipe said, except I left off the milk at the end.  I know spaghetti is not very "creative" when it comes to Italian food, but to me it is the BEST Italian food there is.  I can't wait to see what the other cooks made for this month's journey to Italy.  Check them out here

You can get the recipe here http://lacucinaitalianamagazine.com/recipe/ragu-alla-bolognese

On another note, I won the give-a-way on MKMW that Andrea posted last month.  I wanted to show you all what I got.  I love these!  A new freezer container and a beautiful red pie plate!  I cannot wait to try them out.  Thank you Andrea!  I never win anything so I was super excited.

Your spaghetti looks fantastic! This would have been the easiest month to jump back into MKMW but I just couldn't get it done. Congrats on winning!

Your bolognese sauce looks fabulous...so rich and delicious, I need to make this one as it really looks great. I made an antipasti dish but was too late to make the roundup...oh, well, maybe I will be more timely this month! Maybe. lol
